Itinerary

Day 1: Marrakech - Taroudant Via Tizi N'tast
  • Start your day early, ideally at dawn or just before sunrise, to make the most of your day trip.
  • Leave Marrakech and head south towards the High Atlas Mountains. The road to Tizi N'Tast is a picturesque mountain route, and you'll pass through various Berber villages and enjoy breathtaking views along the way.
  • Continue your journey through the Tizi N'Tast pass, which is one of the highest and most scenic mountain passes in Morocco.

  • Eventually, descend from the mountains and start driving towards Taroudant.
  • Arrive in Taroudant around lunchtime. Taroudant is often referred to as "Little Marrakech" and is known for its historic city walls, bustling souks, and vibrant atmosphere.
  • Spend your afternoon exploring Taroudant. Highlights include the historic city walls and gates, the medina, and the vibrant marketplaces where you can shop for local crafts and products.
  • Don't miss the opportunity to visit Taroudant's famous tanneries, where you can see the traditional process of leather production.
  • Spend the night in Taroudant.
Day 2: Taroudant - Tafraout
  • Start your day early with breakfast in Taroudant ,Depart  towards Tafraout.
  • Along the journey, you'll pass through the picturesque Ameln Valley, known for its almond trees, palm groves, and small Berber villages. Take time to appreciate the natural beauty and make stops to enjoy the scenery and take photos.
  • Arrive in Tafraout around lunchtime. Tafraout is famous for its unique pink granite rock formations, which are scattered throughout the region. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes in Tafraout where you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch.
  • After lunch, start your exploration of the region's pink granite rock formations. These giant boulders and rock outcrops are a highlight of the area. The most famous site is the "Painted Rocks of Tafraout," where you can see art painted on the rocks. Take some time to explore the area and admire the artwork and natural formations.

Day 3: Tafraout - Tiznit - Mirleft

  • Continue your exploration of Tiznit, visiting any sites or markets you may have missed in the morning.
  • Arrive in Mirleft and check into your accommodation. Take some time to relax and enjoy the scenic beauty of Mirleft's beaches or go for a walk along the cliffs.
  • Spend the night in Mirleft.
Day 4: Mirleft Excursion
  • Start your day with a traditional Moroccan breakfast at  your accommodation. 
  • Head to Plage Mirleft or Plage Aftas to enjoy the morning on the beach. You can relax, swim, or take a leisurely walk along the coast.
  • If you're interested in exploring Legzira Beach,to see its unique rock formations. While the famous arches collapsed in 2016, the beach remains a beautiful spot for photography and exploration.
  • Return to Mirleft for lunch at a local seafood restaurant. Try fresh fish or seafood dishes, and savor some traditional Moroccan cuisine.
  • Spend your afternoon exploring Mirleft's town center. Visit local markets and shops to browse for souvenirs, traditional crafts, and local products. Take in the town's unique architecture and vibrant atmosphere.

Day 5: Mirleft - Essaouira
  • Start your day early by departing from Mirleft to Essaouira.
  • Begin your visit to Essaouira by exploring its famous medina (Old Town), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Stroll through its narrow, winding streets filled with shops, cafes, and artisan workshops. Be sure to visit the vibrant Moulay Hassan Square and Skala de la Ville (the historic city walls).
  • Don't miss a visit to Essaouira's picturesque fishing port. You can watch the fishermen at work and enjoy the fresh sea breeze.

Day 6: Essaouira - Marrakech

  • Along the way to Marrakech, look out for the iconic argan trees with goats in the branches. You can find these sights in the countryside between Essaouira and Marrakech. Stop for a short visit to observe and take pictures of these goats climbing and eating argan fruits.
  • Continue your journey toward Marrakech.
