Our 2-day Sahara desert tour from Fes will start at any meeting point in Fes, and travel on a journey towards the largest Moroccan desert. First, we will make our way to Ifrane by crossing the Middle Atlas Mountains. This range is famous for its lush green mountains and far-reaching views of Berber villages. Ifrane is also known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” or “Little Switzerland” due to its Alpine architecture. It is the cleanest city in Africa and the eighth worldwide. When you arrive, you will have the chance to take a walk and explore the area. Second, we will continue our tour via Midelt, also known as the “City of Apples.” This city is home to vast agricultural lands for apples and is the first city in Morocco to produce this fruit.

Subsequently, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains, where your driver will stop for some photo opportunities. Third, you will see the Ziz Valley and then cross the city of Erfoud on your way to the Merzouga Desert. When you arrive in Merzouga, you will be welcomed with mint tea and then embark on a camel ride. The ride will last about 1 hour and 30 minutes minutes before sunset. Your camel driver will make sure to show you the best panoramic view spot for the sunset. After taking some breathtaking pictures, you will arrive at the camp, where you can try activities like sandboarding. Finally, while you are having dinner, the staff will make a campfire for you and play Berber music in a friendly atmosphere under the stars.

After breakfast, we will bid farewell to the spectacular Merzouga Desert and embark on our journey back to Fes. With the most scenic highlights already covered on the first day, you have the freedom to choose where you would like to stop again. Upon arrival in Fes, you will be dropped off at your accommodation, marking the conclusion of our unforgettable 2-day Sahara Desert tour
