Your expedition commences at the airport, where we warmly welcome you and transfer you to your chosen accommodation. Depending on your arrival time, we may include visits to specific Marrakech attractions.

Day two unfolds with a comprehensive Marrakech tour guided by a local expert. On the third day, we travel on a journey to Boumalne Dades, passing through the captivating kasbahs of Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate. The fourth day leads us to the breathtaking Merzouga desert, where an overnight stay in a Berber tent beneath the starlit sky awaits you.

The fifth day is dedicated to an exploration of the desert and its surroundings. As the adventure concludes on the final day, we make our way back to Marrakech, the renowned red city. Feel free to customize any aspect of this itinerary to align with your specific preferences and desires.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Marrakech

Upon arrival in Marrakech airport , Our driver/guide will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your accommodation, where you'll spend the first night in your 6 days tour from Marrakech.

Day 2: Explore Marrakech

In the morning after breakfast at your accommodation, meet your local guide then walk through the old Medina of Marrakech its lively narrow streets filled with shops, Spice, carpets and more, then take you to Souk Semmarine. After that head to Saadian Tomb its famous for its beautifully decorated marble tombs, then Bahia Palace and El Badi Palace. Following that we'll take you to Majorelle gardens is one of the most iconic and tranquil spots in the city, filled with plants and trees including, Bamboo groves, cactus gardens, and citrus trees, the head we'll proceed to Menara garden.

Afterward, in the late afternoon we'll taking to visit the iconic Koutoubia Mosque, second largest Mosque in Morocco, then walk through the famous Djamaa Lefna square where you'll enjoy many activities including snake, charmers, musicians, early evening we'll take you to your accommodation where you will spend the second night in your 6 days tour.

Day 3: Marrakech - High Atlas Mountains - Ait Ben Haddou - Boumalne Dades

On the third day of our 6-day expedition from Marrakech to the captivating Merzouga desert, we embark on a memorable journey toward Boumalne Dades. Our day commences with a remarkable drive through the High Atlas mountains, navigating the renowned Tizi Ntichka pass—a winding, 200-kilometer-long road home to various Berber tribes whose livelihoods center around tourism, Argan oil production, and herding.

Given the area's prominence in Argan oil production, we take you to visit select cooperatives, providing a firsthand glimpse into the traditional methods of crafting cosmetic products. Following this enlightening stop, our journey continues through the High Atlas mountains, traversing the spectacular Tizi Ntichka pass.

At the zenith of the High Atlas mountains, we make a captivating visit to the renowned fortress of Ait Benhaddou. To reach the Kasbah, a scenic walk through the "Ouad El Maleh" river is in store. This village stands as a testament to authentic Moroccan clay architecture, boasting impressive walls and towering structures. Ait Benhaddou rightfully earned its designation as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987.

Subsequently, our expedition leads us to the splendid city of Ouarzazate, often hailed as the "Ouallywood of Morocco." This vital southeastern hub features an international airport and houses the world's largest solar energy station. Ouarzazate has also gained acclaim as a premier location for filming movies and series, with two principal studios within the city catering to the film industry for both shooting productions and renting filming equipment. As the day draws to a close, we journey to Boumalne Dades, where we typically spend the night

Day 4: Boumalne Dades - Todra Gorges - Merzouga Desert

After indulging in a satisfying morning meal, we set forth on the upcoming segment of our 6-day journey commencing from Marrakech and leading us to the enchanting Merzouga desert. Our initial destination for the day is the awe-inspiring Todra Gorges, also recognized as Toudgha Canyons. Here, we take a leisurely break to wander through these majestic canyons. The towering walls, reaching heights of about 300 meters, and a calmly flowing river weaving through them, render the canyons a visual spectacle. This locale showcases some of the most breathtaking and picturesque panoramas in all of Morocco.

From the gorges, our expedition resumes towards the Sahara desert. Along the way, we traverse quaint Berber villages and pass through the cities of Tinegher and Tinjedad. Our ultimate goal for the day is the extraordinary golden dunes of the desert, where the camel ride promises to be the pinnacle of your Moroccan adventure. Upon arrival, our camels and their guides eagerly await you, ensuring an unforgettable desert escapade. You'll mount your camels and embark on a journey across the dunes, pausing along the way to capture mesmerizing photos astride these majestic creatures against the backdrop of the limitless desert.

After a delightful camel trek, you'll arrive at the desert camp, typically reaching in the early evening. Many visitors seize this opportunity to explore the camp, with some ascending the dunes to witness the captivating desert sunset. For those seeking more adventurous thrills, sandboarding is available. As night descends, you'll relish a traditional Moroccan feast, while our camp team prepares to captivate you with enchanting Berber music. Following dinner, you'll gather around the campfire beneath the starlit desert sky, immersed in the rhythms of Berber music, creating an indelible memory of a desert evening.

Day 5: Merzouga Desert Tour

On the penultimate day of our 6-day expedition from Marrakech to the Merzouga desert, a distinctive allure awaits. This day is dedicated to immersing ourselves in the captivating surroundings of the desert. You can commence your day with an early morning wake-up call, treating yourself to the awe-inspiring spectacle of the desert sunrise. Following a delectable breakfast at the camp, you have the option to embark on your desert exploration, choosing between the comfort of a 4x4 vehicle or the more traditional experience of a camel journey. While most travelers opt for the convenience of the car, those yearning for a Lawrence of Arabia-style adventure can partake in a camel excursion.

Our initial destination leads us to the abodes of the Berber Nomads, steadfastly residing in traditional tents. These resilient communities, typically comprising 7 to 10 members, depend on the desert's natural resources for sustenance, primarily engaging in goat and sheep herding and selling their livestock in nearby cities like Erfoud and Rissani. The defining traits of these nomads include their warm hospitality and innate generosity.

After a leisurely visit with the Berber Nomads, our expedition proceeds to a renowned kohl mine in the region, previously owned and operated by the French. This mine served as a valuable source of kohl, exported to France.

Continuing our journey, we arrive at the mesmerizing panorama known as "Galb El Nas," translating to "The People's Heart" in English. This vantage point offers a breathtaking view of the desert, allowing you to absorb the enchanting scenery.

The tour then advances to the village of Khamlia, home to the Gnawa or Gnaoua people. Originating from various African nations such as Niger, Gabon, and Mali, these unique inhabitants have embraced Morocco as their homeland. You'll have the opportunity to delve into their culture, music, and lifestyle, unraveling the layers of their intriguing heritage.

Day 6 : Merzouga Desert - Daraa Valley - Marrakech

Following a lavish breakfast at our opulent desert camp, we'll saddle up on our camels to commence the homeward journey to Merzouga. The departure is scheduled for an early kick-off at around 8:00 AM, setting the course for our return to Marrakech. Our route back will guide us through Alnif, with a planned stop in Nkob to relish a delightful lunch.

Post-meal, our expedition will persist directly toward Marrakech, winding through the scenic Ait-Saouen pass. As our adventure gracefully draws to a close, we are committed to ensuring your smooth drop-off in Marrakech, signifying the culmination of our 6-day desert odyssey from Marrakech to Merzouga.
