Our day commences with a visit to Bab Boujloud, the splendid 11th-century gateway to Fes El Bali the ancient part of the city. We’ll then meander through its narrow streets, exploring the Bou Inania and Attarine Madrassas, both treasures of Moroccan architecture Al-Karaouiyne, the world’s oldest university, is our next stop before we venture to the renowned Chouara Tannery, one of Fes’s three historical tanneries. Continuing our excursion, we’ll visit the King’s palace, renowned for its seven magnificent golden gates, and ascend to the Borj Nord for a panoramic view of the city’s enchanting landscape. A leisurely stroll in the serene Garden of Sbil awaits us. To unwind, you have the option to indulge in a traditional hot sauna (Hamam) or a soothing massage in the late afternoon. Our journey continues from Fes to the mesmerizing Sahara Desert in Merzouga, and
there’s a lot to explore along the way. We’ll commence our adventure with a visit to Ifrane,
often dubbed the “Little Switzerland of Morocco.” Here, we’ll pause briefly to admire the
Atlas Lion statue, a remarkable sculpture crafted by a German prisoner to pay homage to
the extinct Atlas lion of the nearby forest. Next, we’ll venture into the Cedar Forest at
Azrou, where a stopover will allow us to encounter the Barbary Macaque monkeys, also
known as magots or apes.
Our route will then take us through Midelt, a town often referred to as the “City of Apples.”
